The SPECTRO-3-50-COF is a true color sensor with integrated confocal transmitter and receiver optics, designed for precise color, contrast, and grayscale detection at a typical measuring range of 30 mm to 70 mm. It features a super-bright white-light LED with selectable AC, DC, PULSE, or OFF modes, enabling reliable detection of both reflective and self-luminous objects while remaining insensitive to ambient light in AC or PULSE operation. The sensor can store up to 31 colors in non-volatile memory and provides five digital outputs configurable as NPN or PNP (0V/+24VDC), along with an RS232 interface for parameterization via Windows® software. With scan frequencies up to 35 kHz, a 3-color filter detector based on CIE 1931 standards, and IP67-rated optics, it is well suited for high-speed industrial environments. Typical applications include color verification in packaging and printing, sorting and quality control in manufacturing, detection of labels or markings, and color monitoring of LEDs, displays, and other luminous components.
