Product Description

The SPECTRO-3-30-POL is a true color sensor with a polarized white-light LED system designed to reduce gloss effects and accurately detect up to 31 taught colors . It features a typical measuring range of 15 mm to 80 mm (0.59 in to 3.15 in) and offers multiple LED operating modes (AC, DC, PULSE, or OFF) for flexibility in detecting reflective or self-luminous objects . The sensor includes five digital outputs (OUT0–OUT4), selectable as NPN or PNP (bright- or dark-switching), and an RS232 interface for parameterization and data exchange . With a maximum scan frequency of up to 35 kHz (DC or OFF mode) and color evaluation based on CIE 1931 standards, it provides high-speed, precise color differentiation . Housed in anodized aluminum with IP67 protection at the optics, it is suitable for industrial applications such as surface inspection, where polarized light helps distinguish surface quality differences.
