The SPECTRO-1-SLU-SA with SI-SLU-DIF-16 is a single-channel optical sensor system consisting of a receiver/control unit and a side light unit with 16 warm-white diffuse LEDs, designed for high-dynamic-range light intensity and gray scale detection with 12-bit resolution. It supports AC, DC, or OFF LED operation for detecting reflective, transmissive, or self-luminous objects, and provides two digital outputs (NPN/PNP selectable) plus one configurable analog output (0–10 V or 4–20 mA) for flexible PLC integration. The sensor operates on +24 VDC and offers high scan frequencies up to 175 kHz (DC mode), with switching frequencies up to 60 kHz, making it suitable for high-speed industrial processes. Housed in anodized aluminum with IP67 (optics) protection and operating from -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to 55°C), it is built for demanding industrial environments. Typical applications include opacity measurement using 0° or 90° methods, intensity control of LEDs and displays, surface inspection, presence detection, and high-speed quality control in automated manufacturing lines.
