Product Description

The SPECTRO-1-FIO-IR4 is a single-channel contrast sensor that uses a 1650 nm infrared LED and is optimized for detecting grayscale variations across a broad range of distances (typically 1 mm to 500 mm, depending on fiber optics and optics used). It offers high-speed signal acquisition, up to 175 kHz scan frequency, with robust outputs including analog (0–10V or 4–20mA), digital (PNP/NPN-compatible), and RS232 or Ethernet connectivity. The sensor is ideal for applications requiring precise contrast or brightness detection, including detecting marks, labels, or distinguishing material variations even under ambient light interference. It is commonly used in automation, pharmaceutical packaging, printing and labeling, plastics processing, and electronics manufacturing, especially where precise contrast differentiation or monitoring of self-luminous objects (like displays or LEDs) is needed. Its rugged anodized aluminum housing (IP64 rated) and temperature compensation from -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to 55°C) make it suitable for industrial environments.
