Product Description

The SPECTRO-1-FIO-IR2 is a high-speed single-channel contrast sensor that uses a 950 nm infrared LED and supports both reflected and transmitted light modes via 67° fiber optics. It features a wide operating range from approximately 1 mm to 500 mm depending on optics, with selectable analog (0–10 V or 4–20 mA) and digital outputs (NPN or PNP), making it adaptable for precision contrast or grayscale detection tasks. Typical applications include material presence detection, surface differentiation, object positioning, gloss control, and detecting luminous objects such as LED displays or halogen lamps. It is suited for environments with ambient light up to 5,000 Lux and operates reliably in temperatures from -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to +55°C). Additional flexibility comes from extensive software parameterization via RS232 or Ethernet, making it ideal for industrial automation, quality control, and packaging inspection systems.
