Product Description

The SPECTRO-1-50-POL is a high-performance single-channel contrast sensor designed for precise gray-scale detection and contrast measurement using a 9x white-light LED with a polarization filter to reduce gloss interference. It offers a typical measuring range of 20 mm to 80 mm and operates with high scan frequencies up to 175 kHz depending on configuration, making it suitable for fast-moving or reflective surfaces. The unit includes both digital (NPN/PNP capable) and analog outputs (0–10V or 4–20mA), and supports integration with PLCs or PCs via RS232, USB, or Ethernet interfaces. Its rugged IP67/IP64-rated aluminum housing and operating range from -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to +55°C) support deployment in industrial environments. Common applications include automation, printing, packaging, plastics, labeling, and electronics manufacturing where accurate contrast or gloss-insensitive detection is critical.
