The SLB-02-TP is a high-resolution split light barrier from the TLB Series, designed for precise object detection with a typical minimum detectable object size of 50 μm in DC mode and 300 μm in AC mode. It features an IR-LED transmitter (905 nm) and collimated optics with a beam divergence of ~100 mrad, ensuring stable performance in environments with up to 5000 Lux ambient light. The unit includes a durable aluminum housing with scratch-resistant glass optics and offers mechanical protection rated at IP67, making it suitable for harsh industrial settings. Operating temperatures range from -4°F to 176°F (-20°C to +80°C), with storage up to 185°F (85°C). Connection is made via a shielded PUR-sheathed cable (500 mm or 1000 mm), terminating in an 8-pin circular connector (Binder 712 type). The system is compatible with both constant and pulsating light amplifiers, offering flexible integration into various automation setups across industries such as electronics manufacturing, automotive assembly, pharmaceutical packaging, printing and labeling, and robotics and automation.
