The L-LAS-LT-110-HD2 is a Class 2 (670 nm) laser line sensor featuring a typical measuring range of 3.35 inches (85 mm) from 3.15 to 6.50 inches (80–165 mm), with 85 µm resolution and ±85 µm reproducibility, making it suitable for precise distance and edge detection. It utilizes a CCD line detector (512 pixels / 1024 subpixel) with automatic laser power adjustment and integrated interference and red-light filters to reliably detect both dark and bright surfaces. The sensor operates on +24 VDC (±10%) and provides a configurable digital output selectable as PNP bright-switching/NPN dark-switching or PNP dark-switching/NPN bright-switching, adjustable via Windows® software or hardware switch. Housed in anodized aluminum with IP54 (electronics) and IP67 (optics) protection, it is designed for rugged industrial environments and supports RS232 communication with optional USB or Ethernet adapters. Typical applications include robotic positioning, edge detection, and precision distance measurement, such as positioning on painted automotive body components where high dynamic range is required to accommodate varying surface finishes.
