Product Description

The GLAST-85-45°/45°-DIF sensor from the GLAST Series is designed for gloss and structure detection using spatial frequency analysis of a projected line grid, ideal for evaluating surface haze and reflection characteristics of shiny or transparent materials like metal sheets, painted surfaces, and glass. It operates at a fixed measurement distance of 85 mm (±2 mm) and offers three interchangeable line grids (0.5/0.5 mm, 1.0/1.0 mm, 2.0/2.0 mm) to adjust resolution and sensitivity. The device includes a line detector with 512 pixels, built-in haze control, and multiple TEACH functions, and can store up to 31 teachable states and 5 spatial frequency spectrums. It features RS232 connectivity (with USB and Ethernet options), sturdy aluminum housing, and parameterization via included STRUCT-Scope PC software. Common applications include inline inspection of stainless steel, aluminum, and plastic film surfaces for quality control of gloss uniformity and surface haze.
