The A-LAS-CON1-FIO is a high-performance analog laser light barrier controller designed for precision object inspection, positioning, and dimensional control using optical fibers. It supports both transmitted and reflected light operation and enables high-resolution measurements with a minimum detectable object size of less than 10 µm and a switching frequency of up to 25 kHz. With dual fiber optic channels and support for mathematical evaluation between channels, it is suitable for tasks requiring micrometer-range accuracy, such as thickness measurement and edge detection. Applications include 100% inspection in manufacturing lines, gloss detection, and precise positioning in automation and robotics environments. The unit features configurable digital and analog outputs, Windows®-based parameterization, and support for external teach/reset functions and potentiometer-based tolerance adjustments. Its rugged aluminum housing, dirt-compensation capability, and compatibility with a wide range of fiber optic sensors and fixtures make it versatile for industrial quality assurance and process control applications.
