A & B Series Digital Humidity & Temperature Sensors

Price dependent upon specification — inquire below

Product Description

The A and B Series sensors provide accurate digital humidity and temperature measurement for demanding industrial applications. Available with RS485 Modbus RTU or RS232 ASCII communication, the series offers wall-mount, duct-mount, and remote-probe configurations. Choose exchangeable A Series probes or fixed B Series probes, with specialized versions for extreme temperatures, pressurized applications, and ammonia-containing environments.

Features and ratings depend on the configuration; maximum temperature and maximum pressure ratings apply to different versions. The transmitter’s ambient temperature range is −40 to 185°F (−40 to 85°C), independent of the probe’s range.

Product Highlights

  • High-accuracy humidity measurement — Provides ±1.5% RH accuracy from 10–90% RH at 73.4°F (23°C), and ±2% RH outside that span, with a 0–100% RH output range.
  • Precision temperature sensing — A Pt1000 sensing element delivers temperature accuracy of ±0.36°F (±0.2°C) at 73.4°F (23°C).
  • Extreme-temperature probe options — Selected versions support probe operating temperatures from −112 to 392°F (−80 to 200°C) for demanding low- and high-temperature applications.
  • High-pressure capability — A Series configurations with the HD probe support pressures up to approximately 363 psi (25 bar), with a probe temperature range of −76 to 320°F (−60 to 160°C).
  • Digital communication over long distances — Choose RS485 Modbus RTU or RS232 ASCII output, with RS485 transmission distances up to approximately 3,281 ft (1,000 m).
  • Exchangeable, calibrated A Series probes — Calibration data is stored within the sensor part, which connects through a four-pin plug. Sensor parts and transmitters can be matched to the application’s physical and mechanical requirements.
  • Built-in humidity calculations — Modbus versions calculate dew point, wet-bulb temperature, enthalpy, mixing ratio, and absolute humidity within the specified hx operating range. Calculations assume normal atmospheric pressure.
  • Fast humidity response — A humidity response time of less than 10 seconds, specified as t₆₃ at approximately 6.6 ft/s (2 m/s) airflow, supports tracking changing conditions.
  • Industrial enclosure protection — The transmitter is rated IP65, and the A Series sensor-to-transmitter connector is rated IP67. Measuring-head protection depends on the selected filter.
  • Application-specific configurations — Wall-mount, duct-mount, and two-piece remote-probe designs accommodate different installation requirements, while ammonia-resistant and vibration-protected versions address specialized operating conditions.
