Product Description

The RED-60-CLS-L is a high-speed reflective edge detector that uses a Class 2 red laser line (670 nm) to detect edges as small as 0.02 mm on materials such as paper, cardboard, metal, foil, wires, and composites. It features a working range of 50–80 mm, dynamic laser power adjustment, and a switching frequency up to 60 kHz, making it ideal for fast-moving production lines. The sensor is configurable via Windows® software (RED-Scope) and offers both analog and digital outputs, with communication through RS232, USB, or Ethernet interfaces. Industries that commonly use this technology include printing and packaging, metal processing, textiles, automotive, aerospace, and wire manufacturing, where precise edge detection is critical for automation and quality control. Its rugged aluminum housing (IP54 rated) and resistance to ambient light (up to 5000 Lux) ensure reliable performance in industrial environments.
