Product Description

The RED-110 series from Sensor Instruments is a high-speed reflective edge detector equipped with a visible red laser (Class 2, 670 nm) and is available in two models: RED-110-P (punctiform spot) and RED-110-L (line spot). It operates at a reference distance of 110 mm with a working range of 90–130 mm and can detect edges as small as 0.05 mm, even under varying surface conditions such as glossy, matte, dark, or bright materials. The sensor features automatic adjustment, external trigger mode, digital and analog outputs, and RS232 connectivity with PC software (RED-Scope) for parameterization and diagnostics. Applications include edge detection and counting in high-speed industrial processes such as newspaper collation, metal sheet handling, wire monitoring, weld tracking, and rotor blade inspection. Its robust aluminum housing (IP54 rated) and high immunity to ambient light make it suitable for demanding production environments.
