Product Description

The F-LAS-16-AC is a laser fork light barrier sensor designed for precision object detection using a collimated red laser beam (Class 1 or 2, depending on aperture) and is suitable for AC operation with a typical switching frequency of 1 kHz. It offers analog (0–10 V) and digital switching outputs (PNP or NPN, selectable as bright or dark switching), with configuration flexibility via potentiometers for gain or comparator threshold adjustment. The sensor is enclosed in a rugged, IP67-rated aluminum housing with a 4-pole M12 connector and is available in multiple fork and aperture size combinations to accommodate varied object sizes and detection requirements. Operating in ambient conditions from -4 °F to 122 °F (-20 °C to +50 °C), it is optimized for high-speed, high-accuracy sensing in industrial automation, edge detection, and small part detection tasks. Typical applications include monitoring fast-moving components on conveyors, checking for the presence of fine wires or filaments, and positioning verification in packaging or assembly lines.
