The L-LAS-LT-80-SL Series is a Class 1 (0.39 mW, 670 nm) laser triangulation sensor designed for precise non-contact distance measurement with a reference distance of 80 mm and a typical measuring range of 100 mm (approximately 3.94 in), from 40 mm to 140 mm (1.57 in to 5.51 in) . It offers a typical resolution of 20 µm with ±20 µm reproducibility and linearity of ≤0.25% FSO, making it suitable for high-accuracy inspection tasks. The sensor is available with either a 0.3 mm laser spot (-P) or a 0.3 mm x 3 mm laser line (-L) and features both 4–20 mA and 0–10 V analog outputs, along with configurable PNP/NPN digital outputs. Housed in black anodized aluminum with IP54 (electronics) and IP67 (optics) protection, it operates from +14°F to +122°F (-10°C to +50°C) on 24 VDC and supports RS232 communication with optional USB or Ethernet conversion. Typical applications include thickness and height measurement, position and displacement monitoring, edge detection, and in-line quality control in automated manufacturing systems.
