The FLB Series Frame Light Barriers (models FLB-F, FLB-H, and FLB-V) from Sensor Instruments are high-sensitivity infrared light curtains designed for object detection applications requiring precision down to 0.2 mm. These units feature a rugged, IP67-rated anodized aluminum housing, scratch-resistant optics, and oil-resistant PUR cables, making them suitable for industrial environments. With a range of standard and custom sizes offering fork widths up to 100 mm, they provide homogeneous IR light distribution for consistent detection across the sensing area. The sensors connect to control units FLB-CON1 or FLB-CON8, supporting integration into automation systems with digital and analog outputs. Typical applications include part detection in manufacturing, edge detection in web processing, or monitoring the presence of small components in high-speed assembly lines.
