Product Description

The COAST-56-45°-VIS-IR4 is a hybrid optical sensor designed to detect color, gloss, and surface structure using dual white-light LED rings and an IR LED ring, with true color (RGB), NIR, and structure detectors. It operates optimally at 56 mm distance and supports AC (ambient-light resistant) and DC (high-speed) lighting modes with scan frequencies up to 100 kHz. The sensor can store up to 48 teachable vectors, output results via 5 digital outputs, and display status through 5 onboard LEDs. Configuration is done through Windows® software (COAST-Scope and COAST-STRUCT-Scope) via RS232, USB, or Ethernet, allowing full parameterization including light intensity, gain, and evaluation modes. Its rugged IP64-rated aluminum housing and flexible integration options make it ideal for industrial surface inspection, quality control, and automation environments.
