Product Description

The SPECTRO-3-20-COF is a true color sensor with a typical measuring range of 0.59" to 1.18" (15–30 mm) and integrated confocal transmitter and receiver optics for precise color detection. It uses a super-bright white-light LED and a 3-color filter detector based on human color perception, allowing storage of up to 31 colors with selectable evaluation modes such as FIRST HIT and BEST HIT. The sensor operates on +24 VDC (±10%) and features five digital outputs configurable as PNP or NPN (bright/dark switching selectable), with a typical switching frequency of 60 kHz and scan rates up to 35 kHz depending on operating mode. Housed in anodized aluminum with IP67 protection at the optics and IP64 at the electronics, it is temperature compensated and parameterized via RS232 using Windows® software. Typical applications include color verification in automated manufacturing, detection of contrast and grayscale variations, quality control of printed materials and packaging, and color monitoring of self-luminous objects such as LEDs, displays, and halogen lamps.
