The SPECTRO-1-SLU-UV-SA with SI-SLU-UV-16 is a single-channel UV sensor system featuring a 16 x 375 nm UV-LED side light transmitter and a photodiode receiver with 12-bit resolution for precise intensity measurement. It supports AC, DC, or OFF LED operation for high-speed detection, ambient light suppression, and detection of self-luminous objects, with scan frequencies up to 175 kHz depending on configuration. The unit operates on 24 VDC and includes two NPN/PNP-selectable digital outputs (bright/dark switching), two digital inputs, and one selectable analog output (0–10 V or 4–20 mA), with RS232 connectivity and optional USB or Ethernet converters. Housed in anodized aluminum with IP67-rated optics (control unit) and IP64 protection, it operates from -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to 55°C) and is temperature compensated for stable performance. Typical applications include opacity measurement using 0° or 90° methods, UV intensity monitoring, detection of fluorescent or UV-reactive materials, and inspection of self-luminous objects such as LEDs, displays, or lamps.
