Product Description
The SPECTRO-1-POF is a high-speed contrast sensor designed for use with a wide assortment of POF Series plastic optic fibers in diffuse reflection or through-beam configurations, offering typical sensing ranges from 0.04 in. to 3.94 in. (1 mm to 100 mm) for reflective types and up to 19.69 in. (500 mm) for through-beam types . It operates on +24 VDC (±10%) with two NPN/PNP-selectable digital outputs (0V/+Ub, bright- or dark-switching) and one selectable analog output (0–10 V or 4–20 mA), plus RS232 communication with optional USB or Ethernet converters . The unit features a super-bright white LED with AC, DC, or OFF modes, 12-bit resolution gray scale detection, adjustable averaging up to 32,768 values, and scan frequencies up to 175 kHz depending on output configuration . Housed in black anodized aluminum with an IP64 rating, it operates from -4°F to +131°F (-20°C to +55°C) and includes temperature compensation, automatic threshold correction, and programmable switching functions . Parameterization, diagnostics, firmware updates, and data logging are performed via Windows® SPECTRO1-Scope software, enabling flexible setup for industrial detection, positioning, and inspection applications.
