Product Description

The SPECTRO-1-500-COF is a single-channel contrast measurement sensor designed to detect grayscale differences and brightness variations on surfaces. It uses a super-bright white-light LED and integrated transmitter/receiver optics with a photodiode to capture reflected light signals, enabling precise detection at working distances typically between about 100 mm and 1000 mm (3.9–39.4 in). The sensor provides a 12-bit grayscale resolution, high scan frequencies, and configurable signal processing such as averaging, brightness correction, and automatic threshold adjustment. It supports 2 digital outputs (NPN/PNP selectable), 2 digital inputs, and a selectable analog output (0–10 V or 4–20 mA), along with an RS232 interface for configuration and diagnostics using Windows-based software. Housed in an anodized aluminum enclosure with IP67 optics protection, it is designed for industrial automation tasks such as surface inspection, contrast detection, and monitoring luminous objects like LEDs or displays.
