Product Description

The SPECTRO-1-100-COF-LAS is a single-channel contrast sensor that uses a red focused laser (670 nm, Class 2) with confocal optics to detect grayscale variations with high resolution (12-bit) over a measuring range of approximately 50 to 180 mm. It features a small light spot (0.1 mm diameter at 100 mm), fast scan rates (up to 175,000 Hz depending on mode), and is configurable via PC using the included SPECTRO1-Scope software, which provides oscilloscope and data logging functions. The sensor includes 2 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs (NPN/PNP-switchable), and a selectable analog output (0–10V or 4–20mA), with communication via RS232 or optional USB/Ethernet converters. It is designed with a robust anodized aluminum housing (IP67-rated optics, IP64 electronics) and operates in a wide temperature range from -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to +55°C). The device also includes automatic brightness correction, averaging, threshold functions, and temperature compensation, making it suitable for precise, high-speed contrast detection even in variable lighting conditions.
