Paquin is spotlighting our P395 Abrasion Resistant Electromagnetic Flow Meter (Or Magnetic Flow Meter) purpose built for particulate laden, corrosive liquids delivering bi-directional, no pressure loss measurement, rugged materials, and industrial connectivity
Accurate, no-pressure-loss flow measurement for conductive liquids with flexible I/O, materials, and connections built for tough industrial environments. View the P395 datasheet (PDF)
Built for: mining slurries, chemical processing, concrete pumping, pulp & paper, ceramics/brick, leachate, and other high solids flows.
Delivers: abrasion resistant liner with tungsten carbide electrodes, 1% (std) / 0.5% (opt) accuracy, ±0.15% repeatability, and no pressure loss.
Integrates via: 4–20 mA, HART, RS 485/Modbus, 0–5 kHz pulse, and two isolated relays; integrated (IP65) or remote (IP68) electronics.
The Problem The P395 Solves
Abrasive slurries and fluids with rocks or heavy particulate destroy meters with moving parts and can cause drift or rapid wear. The P395 uses electromagnetic induction with a specially engineered abrasion resistant liner, so there’s no obstruction and no added pressure drop all while diagnostics (empty/full pipe, self monitoring, auto zero) help keep signals trustworthy during upset conditions.
What’s New / Why It’s Different
-
Engineered for abrasion: mixed material liner plus tungsten carbide electrodes as standard; other electrode materials on request
-
Large line coverage: 10, 12, 14, 16, 20″ (DN250–DN500) with ANSI or EN 1092 1 PN16 flanges; Class 150 or 300 options
-
Industrial grade connectivity: 4–20 mA/HART, RS 485/Modbus, pulse, and 2 relays (30 VDC/3 A; 250 V/3 A)
-
Rugged by design: IP65 (integrated), IP68 (remote); Ex proof option (Exd [ia Ga] … T5 Gb)
-
CIP capable: supports clean in place procedures
Applications
- Underground Mining / Minerals: Thickener feed/underflow, tailings, and plant transfer where abrasion resistance and no ΔP protect pumps and maximize uptime
- Chemical / Concrete / Pulp & Paper: Corrosive or solids laden mixes (including stones and rocks) where moving part meters fail prematurely
